Chestnuts

I received these beautiful local chestnuts yesterday from a lady just down the road from my house. I have been playing with chestnut ideas for a few years now since my parents have a true fruit bearing American chestnut tree.

Infusion

In an attempt to recreate the flavors of Provence, France, I have decided to try infusing brandy with sage (from the garden), orange peel, and lavender. I plan to add to the drink when completed the sweetness of agave nectar or maple syrup, and soda. I know it may look like a science project but believe me it is a hard think to get good images of.brandy, sage, orange peel, and lavender flowers
