Grape Tomatoes

Grape tomatoesI noticed something the other day that I had never seen before. I don’t know if I have never seen it because I have not in the past grown many grape tomato plants or if it’s because I have never paid attention enough to notice the beauty of it. As the plants flower the fruits start to sprout starting with the flower closest to the body of the plant. They then grow, one by one, as the branch extends further from the plant. This creates a look that is amazing to me, all the tomatoes growing on the vine go from big to small as they move further from the main part of the plant. The best way for me to describe it is like singing “Row, Row, Row your Boat” at summer camp when each person singing starts once the person before them has reached a certain part of the song.
